Some of the easiest DIY flooring options are loose lay planks or floating floors. Many vinyl flooring collections feature loose lay vinyl planks, which do not require extensive prepping to lock them into place. Floating floors, such as thick hybrid floors, also make great DIY flooring. ‘Floating’ means that this type of floor sits on top of the subfloor. Planks click together to form a raft-like effect.
