Eco Flooring Systems Swish Oak Wideboard is designed for open-plan rooms where a broader oak board can make the finished floor feel more spacious. This engineered timber flooring uses 220mm-wide, 14mm engineered French oak boards with a 4mm wear layer and FSC-sourced timber. The real timber surface gives every board its own grain and tonal variation, while the supporting construction provides the consistency needed for a professionally planned floor. Like any timber product, it should be installed to the current supplier instructions and protected from standing water and abrasive dirt.
The wider format allows more grain to appear on each board and reduces the number of joins across the room. Pale shades work with coastal and minimalist schemes, while natural and smoked oaks suit larger interiors that need more warmth and definition. Swish Oak Wideboard uses a Valinge 5G click system, designed for a floating installation over underlay. This can make installation more straightforward than traditional hardwood boards, but proper subfloor preparation is still important for a clean, stable and long-lasting finish.
