Australian Native Optimise is designed for projects that want genuine Australian hardwood while using the valuable surface timber efficiently. This engineered timber flooring uses 13.5mm engineered boards with a 3mm native timber lamella, Bona UV lacquer and 132mm or selected 180mm widths. The real timber surface gives every board its own grain and tonal variation, while the supporting construction provides the consistency needed for a professionally planned floor. Like any timber product, it should be installed to the current supplier instructions and protected from standing water and abrasive dirt.
Blackbutt and Spotted Gum are available in more than one width, while Brush Box, Blue Gum and Queensland species broaden the design choice. Use 132mm boards for a more traditional rhythm or consider the wider format where a larger room needs fewer visible board lines. Compare Australian Native Herringbone for a 600mm patterned native format. Before ordering the full floor, view several samples in the intended room at different times of day. Real timber is expected to vary, and that natural movement is what gives the finished installation depth and character.
Hurford Australian Native Optimise is designed for homeowners who want real Australian hardwood character in a more efficient engineered timber format. The refined 3mm lamella helps make better use of native timber resources while still giving the floor natural grain, warmth and everyday durability.
Colours include Blackbutt, Brush Box and Spotted Gum. Each species is available in 1830mm and 2190mm board lengths, giving you flexibility depending on the look you want. Blackbutt feels lighter and softer, Brush Box adds warmer reddish tones, and Spotted Gum brings stronger natural variation.
The Bona UV Lacquer System helps protect the timber surface while keeping the natural look of the Australian hardwood lamella. It is a practical finish for everyday homes because it supports durability without making the floor look overly glossy or artificial.
Optimise is a good choice if you want a cost-effective Australian hardwood floor with a lower environmental footprint. It uses a refined 3mm lamella, compared with the thicker lamella used in some standard engineered timber ranges, while still offering real native timber character in Blackbutt, Brush Box and Spotted Gum.
