Choose Genuine Oak 190/14 when the project involves whole-home oak projects that need a balanced plank size and practical 14mm build. The engineered timber flooring uses 1900 x 190 x 14mm boards with a 3mm European oak lamella, tongue-and-groove profile and seven-coat UV-cured finish. This construction allows the floor to retain the warmth and natural variation people buy real timber for, while offering a more predictable board format for modern homes. Final installation method, adhesive or underlay and room suitability should always follow the product-specific technical guide.
The 190mm width suits bedrooms, halls and living areas, while the stain range allows the same board format to move from pale and coastal to warm and traditional. Natural variation remains visible through the subtle brushed surface, so samples should be viewed as part of a broader board-to-board palette. Compare Genuine Oak 190/15 for the same width with a 4mm lamella. Before ordering the full floor, view several samples in the intended room at different times of day. Real timber is expected to vary, and that natural movement is what gives the finished installation depth and character.
Hurford Genuine Oak Premiere is a strong option if you want the natural warmth of oak in a clean engineered timber format. The wide boards help larger rooms feel more open and can also make smaller rooms appear more spacious, while the ultra matte finish keeps the look calm and natural.
The subtle brush texture adds gentle surface detail to the real oak lamella, helping the boards look and feel more natural. It gives the floor more character than a flat smooth finish, without making the surface feel overly rustic or hard to style.
Each plank is finished with a UV cured 7 coat Treffert lacquer system, which helps protect the timber surface and lock in the natural appearance of the oak. The tongue and groove click system also supports easier installation, making the range practical for homes and selected commercial interiors.
