Regency Hardwood Herringbone Collection is designed for feature spaces that need the character of Australian hardwood in a true herringbone layout. This engineered timber flooring uses 600 x 120 x 14.5mm boards with a 3mm native timber veneer, eight-layer multi-ply core and fifteen to eighteen coats of UV lacquer. The real timber surface gives every board its own grain and tonal variation, while the supporting construction provides the consistency needed for a professionally planned floor. Like any timber product, it should be installed to the current supplier instructions and protected from standing water and abrasive dirt.
Blackbutt keeps the pattern warm and relatively light, while Spotted Gum creates stronger contrast from board to board. The 600mm blocks are large enough to show the native grain while still producing the directional rhythm expected from herringbone flooring. Real timber is expected to vary, and that natural movement is what gives the finished installation depth and character.
Regency Hardwood Herringbone is a strong choice if you want the floor to add detail and movement to the room. The crossing herringbone pattern creates a basket-weave look, while the real Australian native timber veneer gives the floor natural grain, colour variation and warmth.
Colours include Blackbutt and Spotted Gum. Blackbutt has softer nutty brown undertones that can suit cooler, more modern interiors, while Spotted Gum brings warmer reddish tones and stronger natural variation for rooms where you want more character.
Each plank is prefinished with a matt lacquer protective finish, so the floor is ready for installation without needing sanding or coating on site. The lower-sheen finish also helps the timber look more natural and less glossy in everyday living spaces.
This range uses left and right reverse tongue and groove construction to create the herringbone pattern. Because the pattern needs careful set-out and alignment, professional installation is usually the best option if you want a clean, high-end result.
