We test the floors we sell. Then we publish what happened, including the results we didn’t expect.
Most flooring advice online is written by people who have never damaged a floor on purpose. Spec sheets tell you a product survived 4,000 abrasion cycles in a lab in Europe. They don’t tell you what happens when a dog sprints across it, when someone drags a dining chair, when a glass of red wine sits on it over a long weekend, or what happens with moisture exposure.
So we run those tests ourselves, on the bench, on products we actually stock. Clem Sturgess does the testing. We publish the method, the scores, the photographs and the limitations; and where a result contradicts what we expected, or what we said on camera, we publish that too.
If a floor we sell performs badly, that goes in the write-up. Only publishing tests our best sellers win would make this page worthless to you.
